CRH's operations focus on three closely related core businesses.
Primary materials: a prominent producer of aggregates, cement, asphalt and ready-mix concrete throughout Europe and North America, CRH is also the leading producer of asphalt in the United States.
Value-added building products: this division is comprised of: architectural glass and engineered glazing systems including curtain wall and architectural windows; precast concrete; concrete masonry products; prepackaged concrete mixes and architectural bricks, pavers, tiles and construction accessories. In Europe this division also includes insulation, fencing, roof lights and ventilation.
Building materials distribution: Oldcastle Distribution is the third largest roofing and siding distributor in the United States. In Europe, this division encompasses merchant and retail distribution including do-it-yourself stores. CRH is listed on the NYSE.
