Oldcastle Glass® Helps Extreme Makeover Home Edition:

Home Edition Beat Another Race Against Time… To Help a Family in Need of a Home

On Sunday evening, Feburary 8, 2009 (8 PM Eastern Standard Time), ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition broadcast the story of a family in Connecticut who has experienced hardship. Although the details about this family are not revealed to the public until a later date, their needs are great, and the work done on their home changed their lives. This family was selected to be the center of attention for a team of designers, contractors, manufacturers and several hundred workers who rapidly rebuilt this family’s entire house. And Oldcastle Glass® is proud to have been a part of this project.

Oldcastle Glass® donated 12 one-inch clear tempered glass insulated units, each approximately 10 inches by 66 inches, with 1/3 glass arch tops customized for the configuration of the front of the house. The Oldcastle Glass® staff who worked on this project are based in Cheshire, Connecticut.

“When the people from Extreme Makeover contacted us to request our participation in this project, we were happy to donate precisely what they asked for,” said Toni Draper, Inside Sales-Customer Service Manager for Oldcastle Glass®, based in Cheshire, Connecticut. “We are glad to be part of the solution to help this family move forward.”

Everyone at Oldcastle Glass® was eager to see the finished project and how this transformation made a huge difference to this very deserving family.
