Architectural Glass: Heat-Treated

What is Heat-Treated Glass?
Heat-treated glass is glass that has been processed through a tempering oven to increase its strength to resist impact, mechanical loads and thermal stress breakage. There are two distinct heat-treated glass products, heat-strengthened and fully tempered. Heat-treated glass is ideal for Patio Doors, Entrance Doors, Storm Doors and Sidelites; Tub and Shower Enclosures; Commercial/Residential Windows, Fixed and Operable Windows; Displays, Partitions; Storefronts and Handrails.

Fully Tempered

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope™ fully tempered glass is approximately four times stronger than annealed glass of the same thickness and configuration.
