UV Control

Approximately 2% of the total solar radiation comprises ultraviolet light (wavelengths of 290–380 nm). This UV radiation is one of the causes of degradation of dyes, pigments and polymers, resulting in decomposition of unprotected plastics and fading of carpets, drapes, art and other interior fixtures. Laminated glass is essentially opaque to UV radiation and is stable over time. Greater than 99% of UV radiation with a wavelength of less than 380 nm is absorbed, even with an 0.030" interlayer.
